| Born 1942, Simpson creates portraits that express the pride and nobility of black men and women in New York City. As a photographer, Sinpson has used acrylic and oil paint, fingernail polish and colored markers on mural-sized print paper to addd a creative edge to her work. Simpson is noted for her photographic project, which portrayed young black and Latino boys and girls during the hip-hop b-boy era of the 1980's. |
