O'Neal Lancy Abel (b. 1941)
 Began photographin 1963 while working with the Harlem Education Project. His early work, like that of many of the civil rights photographers, depicts student protest marches, political leaders, and social events. He continues to focus his camera on contemporary political rallies in the Harlem community.
